To reduce the risk of account takeover and unauthorized login, we have introduced an identity verification process using your email address (two-factor authentication) in addition to the traditional password authentication.

Configuration Steps

  1. Navigate to "User Settings" in the left menu of Ripple.

  2. Click "Set Up Email Authentication".

  3. A code delivery screen will appear — if everything looks correct, click "Send Code".

  4. A code will be sent to the email address registered when your account was created.

  5. Enter the code to activate email authentication.

  6. Please note that email authentication will be required for all subsequent logins after activation.

Additional Feature Details

  • Changes to the authentication flow: After entering your email address and password on the login screen, a 6-digit verification code will be automatically sent to your registered email address. Enter this code on the login screen to complete the login process.

  • Enabling / Disabling the feature: This feature is provided as an optional function. You can toggle it on or off at any time from Ripple's > Settings page. We strongly recommend enabling it to improve security.
