This article explains how to enable and use email authentication when logging in to Wave.

To reduce the risk of account takeover and unauthorised access, Wave adds an identity verification step using your registered email address, in addition to the standard password-based login.

Log in to Wave and open Preferences from the left-side menu

Enable the Email Authentication setting

Once enabled, a verification code will be sent to your registered email address each time you log in

From your next login onwards, complete sign-in by entering the verification code sent to your email

Enter your email address and password on the login screen

Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your registered email address

Once verified, you will be logged in to Wave

🔐 This feature adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code sent by email in addition to your password. It is optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time from Preferences → My Account. We recommend keeping it enabled to protect your account.
