Overview

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been implemented in Wave.

  • Authy

  • Google Authenticator

  • Microsoft Authenticator

  • Okta Verify

You can now use Multi-factor authentication (MFA) using the above services.

* As described later, the recovery code given at the time of initial setting cannot be reissued after registration, so please be sure to save it.


Procedure

Registration

  1. Click "Settings" on the upper right on Wave

  2. Click "Activate" under "Security" and "Multi-factor authentication"

  3. The QR code used when setting up 2-step authentication will be given

  4. Read the QR code on any device and select the application to use for authentication

  5. Enter the code given in the application in "1st verification code"

  6. Wait for 10 to 30 seconds to received the "2nd verification code" and enter it

  7. Click "Confirm" at the bottom right to complete the setting

* The registration process 5&6 might be different depending upon your choice of MFA application

* Please take note to save the recovery code given here, as it won't be reissued after the setting is completed

Log-in

  1. Enter your ID and password on the Wave login page

  2. The screen will automatically switch to the MFA token code input page, so please enter the code and log-in

Deactivation

  1. Click "Settings" on the upper right on Wave

  2. Click "Deactivate" under "Security" and "Multi-factor authentication" (If you have already set up multi-factor authentication (MFA), the security item has changed from "active" to "deactivate")

  3. Click "Deactivate"

  4. The process is successfully completed if you have received a notification that says "MFA has been deactivated"

Note:

Please save the recovery code given in the initial setting as it cannot be reissued
