Ripple – Invoice Service Settings Update

How to exclude specific AWS services from Invoice Service calculations.

Written by Alphaus Support Team

Overview

You can now exclude specific AWS services from Invoice Service calculations — giving you more precise control over which usage your service charges apply to.

Previously, calculations could only target "all AWS Usage." This update makes it possible to exclude individual services from the calculation scope.

Use Cases

  • Apply an Invoice Service charge rate to all AWS Usage except Bedrock

  • Calculate fees based on usage that excludes Marketplace, Contact Center Telecom, and similar services

Previously, there was no way to narrow the target usage — charges were always applied to the total. You can now define the calculation scope at the individual service level.

Feature Details

Where to configure Go to Invoiced Service Settings within your billing group settings.

How to configure Using a UI similar to the existing Service Discount / Premium settings, select the AWS services to exclude using checkboxes from the AWS service name list.

The setup flow follows the same process as the existing Invoiced Service configuration and can be applied to billing groups in the same way.

Supported clouds

  • AWS only

Calculation scope The items targeted by this setting follow the same scope specifications as the current Invoice Service.

Notes

After changing this setting, the invoice must be regenerated for the changes to take effect.

If the current month's invoice settings have already been saved, you will need to click Return to Billing Group Settings to apply the new exclusion configuration.
