How to Apply Credits

  1. Ensure the credit has been registered by following the steps above.

  2. Create an invoice for the month you want to apply the credit from Invoices > Create Invoice.

Important Notes

  • Credits are applied on a monthly basis, so pro-rata calculations are not supported.

  • There is no need to specify the month for credit application. When an invoice is issued for an account with registered credits, the full balance will be applied automatically.

  • Marketplace and support costs are not eligible for credit application.

  • Once a credit is applied, it cannot be removed. If you need to delete it, please contact support.

  • Only UTF-8 format is supported, so please be careful when saving the file.

Non-Eligible Services for Credit Application

  • Marketplace and support costs are not eligible for credit application.

  • Those items which lineitem type in Cost and Usage Report is Fee or SavingsPlansUpfrontFee are not eligible.

    • Fee: Prepayments or temporary payments for which AWS issues separate invoices.
Examples: RI upfront fees, domain purchase fees.

    • SavingsPlansUpfrontFee: Upfront payment fees for SP.
