Overview
This guide walks you through how to use the Credit Management feature in Ripple. This feature can be used to apply AWS credits to Ripple's calculation results, or to apply MSP-specific credits.
How to Register Credits
Download the Excel template using the button above
Fill in the required details and save the file as a CSV
Go to Settings > Credit Management > Add Credit to upload the CSV file
About the Excel Fields

Only UTF-8 format is supported. Please ensure the file is saved in UTF-8 encoding.
How to Apply Credits
Ensure the credit has been registered following the steps above
From the left menu, click Invoices > Invoice Management and create an invoice for the month you want to apply the credit
Important Notes
Credits are applied on a monthly basis — pro-rata calculations are not supported
There is no need to specify the month for credit application. When an invoice is issued for an account with registered credits, the full balance will be applied automatically
Once a credit is applied, it cannot be removed. If you need to delete it, please contact support
Marketplace and support costs are not eligible for credit application
Items where the
lineItemtype in the Cost and Usage Report isFeeorSavingsPlansUpfrontFeeare also not eligible:Fee — Prepayments or temporary payments for which AWS issues separate invoices (e.g. RI upfront fees, domain purchase fees)

Credit Display After Application
In Usage Details
The following information will be displayed between the usage fee per service and the account total for each account:
Applied amount ($)
Balance / original total credit amount
Credit expiration date
In Ripple Billing Data CSV
A credit application record will appear as a separate line item, similar to the usage fee per service for each account. This record will also appear in months when no credits are applied to an account that has registered credits.
Downloading the Application History
You can download the application history CSV from the dropdown button in the top right corner of the Credit Management page.
