Overview
This guide walks you through how to add custom line items to cloud usage charges in Ripple.
How to Configure Additional Charges
From the left menu, go to Account/Group > Billing Group
Click ... on the right side of the target Billing Group and select Edit Billing Group
Click the Miscellaneous tab, select the target cloud provider, then click +Add Item
Enter the item name, cost, and quantity, then click Save
Generating the Invoice
If no invoice has been created yet for the target billing month: Simply generate the invoice as usual — the configured additional charges will appear automatically.
If an invoice has already been generated: Follow the steps below to reset the settings before regenerating the invoice.
On the invoice creation page, select the target Billing Group
Click Edit Settings in the top right corner and select the cloud provider
Click Revert to Billing Group settings in the bottom left of the settings screen
Confirm that the additional charges are displayed correctly, then click Save
Regenerate the invoice
How Additional Charges Are Displayed
Additional charges appear as separate line items in the invoice and are included in the invoice subtotal.
Important Notes Additional charges are excluded from the calculation of support charges, billing agency fees, and discounts.
