Overview

This guide walks you through how Ripple calculates Azure billing amounts for each service, and the related settings that affect those calculations.

Ripple Azure Settings

Service Rates

Azure services are generally priced across the following tiers:

Rate

Description

List price

The standard price Azure offers for each service

CSP List Price

Azure's pricing for CSP contracts — the purchase price for CSP partners

ERP / MSRP

The end-user price when reselling via CSP (e.g., software licences, Marketplace)

Notes: CSP stands for Cloud Service Provider — a reselling partner for Azure.

Ripple can calculate billing amounts using any of the above rate tiers. If you are a CSP partner and wish to calculate using ERP / MSRP pricing, please note that a separate price file is required in addition to the Azure API used during Ripple integration.

How to Obtain ERP / MSRP Price Files

  1. Go to the Price list page in Azure Partner Center

  2. Select the required month and country/region, then click Download to retrieve the file

Required Files (5 files total)

  • {Month}-{YYYY}-Cloud-Reseller-Pricelist.xlsx

  • {Region}-{Month}-{YYYY}-Newcommerce-Cloud-Reseller-Pricelist.zip (or CSV)

  • reserved-vm-instances-price-list-{Month}-{YYYY}.zip

  • {Region}-{Month}-{YYYY}-Software-Pricelist.zip (or CSV)
