Overview
This article introduces the Savings Plans management features available in Ripple.
Savings Plans offer more flexible discounts than Reserved Instances (RIs), applying to EC2 and Fargate usage. As adoption of Savings Plans increases, managing their costs effectively becomes increasingly important.
Ripple has implemented Savings Plans recalculation, allowing you to aggregate costs with Savings Plans removed — in any unit you choose — in the same way as RIs. This works similarly to the RI True Unblended logic, enabling on-demand pricing with Savings Plans removed, and ensuring that Savings Plans are applied only to the account that made the purchase.
Currently Supported Features
The following Savings Plans features are currently implemented in Ripple:
True Unblended recalculation for Savings Plans
View a list of purchased Savings Plans directly in Ripple
Savings Plans can also be disabled if needed.
Additional features, including recommendations and Wave Pro support, are planned for future releases. If you have any feature requests, please don't hesitate to reach out.
