Overview
This guide walks you through the RBAC feature in Ripple, which extends the standard sub-user permission management with more granular access control, including:
View and edit permissions at the Billing Group level
Permissions at the AWS account and Azure subscription level
Permissions at the invoice level
Permissions per Ripple page

How to Configure RBAC
Log in to Ripple
Click Sub-User Management in the top right corner
The sub-user management screen will open in a new tab
Create a role with the required permissions, then assign that role to the relevant sub-user
Role Permission Items
Permission | Description |
Billing Group | View and edit permissions for Billing Groups |
Account | Permissions at the AWS account and Azure subscription level |
Invoice | Permissions at the invoice level |
Invoice Settings | Permission to configure and edit invoice items |
Reseller | Page permissions for Wave for Reseller |
Custom Field | Access to Billing Group Settings under Ripple Settings |
Custom Service | Access to Billing Service Settings under Ripple Settings |
Invoice Template | Access to Ripple invoice templates |
Original Cost | Access to Cost Data under Ripple Tools |
Project | Access to Ripple Projects |
RI / SP | Access to Ripple RI management |
Settings | Access to Ripple Settings |
Tags | Access to the tag settings screen |
Important Notes
When configuring permissions, dependent items are selected automatically.
For example, granting edit permission for a Billing Group will automatically grant edit permissions for the accounts linked to that Billing Group and for the associated invoices.
