How to Configure Role-Based Access Control in Ripple

Overview

This guide walks you through the RBAC feature in Ripple, which extends the standard sub-user permission management with more granular access control, including:

  • View and edit permissions at the Billing Group level

  • Permissions at the AWS account and Azure subscription level

  • Permissions at the invoice level

  • Permissions per Ripple page

How to Configure RBAC

  1. Log in to Ripple

  2. Click Sub-User Management in the top right corner

  3. The sub-user management screen will open in a new tab

  4. Create a role with the required permissions, then assign that role to the relevant sub-user

Important Notes

When configuring permissions, dependent items are selected automatically.

For example, granting edit permission for a Billing Group will automatically grant edit permissions for the accounts linked to that Billing Group and for the associated invoices.
