Overview

Ripple will use AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) to calculate monthly AWS costs. This guide walks you through the steps to register an AWS Payer Account in Ripple using AWS CloudFormation.

Registering a Payer Account

1. Manual Setup

For a detailed guide on completing the setup manually, please refer to this article.

2. Using AWS CloudFormation

  1. Log in to Ripple

  2. From the left menu, click Settings > Payer Account Settings and click +Create Payer Account located at the top right corner

  3. A registration pop-up will appear. Fill in the required fields

  4. Select the following options:

    1. CUR type: CUR 2.0

    2. Select CloudFormation Setup Method: Setup CloudFormation using default configurations

    3. Click Create

  5. Setup CUR 2.0 export and API access pop-up will appear. Click Launch cross account setup > you will be redirected to the AWS Console

  6. In the AWS Console, review the information registered in CloudFormation and click Create stack

  7. Once the stack is created, return to the Payer Account Settings page in Ripple and click Verify
