This article describes how to link GCP cost data.

Information needed to register with Ripple:

Billing account ID
Project ID
Dataset ID
Location

Below is the step by step:

1. Setup the GCP

1.1 Creating a new BigQuery dataset

First, create a new dataset with GCP BigQuery.

Here, the cost data required for the aggregation process in Ripple is saved.

In case you want to use an existing dataset, skip this step and proceed to 1.2 Billing Data Export Settings.

Fill in the required information and create a dataset.

1.2 Billing Data Export Settings

Set the save destination for billing data.

Specify the project ID and dataset set in the previous step. (If you want to use an existing dataset, set the existing one)

1.3 Sharing settings for Alphaus

Finally, set the data set created earlier to be shared with Alphaus.

This will allow Ripple to perform aggregation work based on GCP billing data.

When you click "Share Dataset", a menu will be displayed, so enter the required items.

Enter the following Alphaus service account in the "Add member" field.

gcpimportd@alphaus-gcpbatch.iam.gserviceaccount.com

For the "Select Role" item, select "BigQuery Data Viewer".


This completes the GCP settings.



2. How to register with Ripple

2.1 Registering a payment account

Add a GCP payment account.



When you press the "Add payment account" button, the screen for registering "Billing account ID" will be displayed. Follow the steps below to confirm and enter the ID.



Please enter any account name for "Payment account name".


2.2 Registration of dataset information

Register additional information from the "Register / Change Dataset" menu.


Please follow the steps below to check the information required for input.
