Overview

This guide walks you through how to export AWS billing cost data (cost of goods) from Ripple as a CSV, based on Cost and Usage Report (CUR) data.

This feature is only available for AWS and Azure. The CSV becomes available for download once the Invoice ID is confirmed. If multiple Invoice IDs exist within the same month, the CSV can be exported for each confirmed Invoice ID as it is finalised.

How to Export Cost Data

  1. From the left menu in Ripple, go to Tools > Export Original Cost and select the target year and month

To download a USD-based CSV:

  1. Click Export Original Cost in the top right corner

  2. Click Export in USD to download the CSV

Notes No decimal rounding is applied to USD CSV exports.

To download a JPY-based CSV:

  1. Select the checkbox next to the relevant Invoice ID(s)

  2. Click Register Exchange Rate and register the exchange rate for all Invoice IDs

  3. Click Export Original Cost, select the decimal rounding option, then click Export in JPY

CSV Format

Usage charges are output as one row per Linked Account. All other charges and items with different Invoice IDs are output as one row per item.

The exported CSV includes the following columns:

  • Billing Group ID

  • Billing Group Name

  • Project Code

  • Payer Account ID

  • Vendor

  • Invoice ID

  • Customer ID

  • Type

  • Description

  • Charge

  • Tax

  • Total

  • Exchange Rate
